Our Fears and How to Escape them Through Faith

"I wish I had great faith." These are words that almost every Christian has said at one time or another. But faith is like a muscle, which must be exercised in order to become strong; just wishing cannot make it happen, but prayer can help.

Christians are to believe God, not only for salvation but for everything. Rather than a spiritual "plateau," faith is actually a process that involves increasing degrees of trust throughout life.
  • Little faith hopes that God will do what He says,

  • Strong faith knows that He will,

  • Great faith believes that He has already done it.

From Victoria Osteen at Facebook.

"Your vision sets your expectations. See yourself blessed, strong, healthy & accomplishing your dreams. Get in agreement with what God says about you and live the life of blessing He has prepared for you!"

Bigger than Fear from Today's Word with Joel Osteen

Remember, no matter how big fear presents itself, it’s no match for the power of Almighty God. When you yield yourself to Him, you tap into His power.

Our pastor has recently completed a serious of sermons that helped me immensely to seek for more, and increase my faith. Soon, the videos will be available on YouTube, and his website.

We All Deal With Fear, It's a Human Condition

In John 4:18, it says that there is no fear in love: There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

OK, so I'm not made perfect yet, nor ever will I be long as I'm alive on earth. But getting closer to living without as much fear, is truly one of the best perks offered in the Christian faith.

From my notes:
  1. Fear WILL come, just don't DWELL with it
  2. What we need to do with fear: WASH IT OUT WITH FAITH!!
  3. Stop confessing the things we're afraid of
  4. We MUST place our minds on the WORD of GOD
  5. Take the step of faith, and God will meet you there
  6. We have the mind of Christ (no fear there) - USE IT!

Ecclesiastes 9:11&12
I have seen something else under the sun:
The race is not to the swift
or the battle to the strong,
nor does food come to the wise
or wealth to the brilliant
or favor to the learned;
but time and chance happen to them all.
Moreover, no one knows when their hour will come:
As fish are caught in a cruel net,
or birds are taken in a snare,
so people are trapped by evil times
that fall unexpectedly upon them.

Start to increase your faith by reading God's Word to learn what He wants you to do. Each day's situations and needs are opportunities to trust Him. Ask the Lord to bring to mind verses that apply to your circumstances. Trust Him and do what He says—your faith "muscles" will grow, you will have the "Faith that Overcomes," and He will be glorified.
