God Shows Himself to Me Again

Now that I have this blog, I can document all the times God talks to me, and shows His power.

Since coming back to God in January of 2012, I've witnessed a few episodes where God had to tell me something directly. The first one was when he spoke to me, telling me that I would never have to worry about making ends meet, and how that I am chosen to develop a perpetual motion magnetic energy generator, and that I will soon be very wealthy. The second time I witnessed God's power ... not just a feeling, an actual events, when He had me cast out a demon from my house in February. I posted a blog post here describing it.

The previous Sunday (May 27), God showed me that I was acting out of my ego for this new business. He wanted to let me know that it is HIS business, not mine, and the purpose of it is to serve His people. This lasted all day Sunday, and into Monday. That Monday, I went to the Salvation Army seeking utility payment relief. It was there that He spoke to me saying, "It's time you keep up with the group," meaning His chosen (for a certain designated task).

Our God is Not Dead

We serve a living God

Moses wrote a historical account of Israel's grumbling against the Lord and the resulting wandering in the desert. Moses described how the Lord gave the Levites the tithes of the people. The tithe of the tithes went to the priests.

In comparison to the gods of the Mesopotamia and Canaan, God did not need the tithes and offerings to sustain Him. The false gods' priests would deceptively say the food was to feed the gods but would secretly feed themselves. God was upfront with His people and gave the food and offerings to His ministers.

We serve a living God who needs nothing from us. He just desires our love and devotion. He loves us so much that He sent His Son to die and redeem us and gave us part of Him, His Spirit, to live in us.
You may notice this is from You Version - study your Bible online.

With the Lord, You Will Receive Success

When I came back to the Lord, I put together a MS Write Pad for verses that have great meaning to me. The first verse entered there was "Trust in the Lord with all my might and He shall direct my paths Lean unto Him also with thy understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." The Good News Translations says it as so: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way."

This morning I awake to my Bible on my computer, with that same verse there. And I now see the difference between when I wasn't with the Lord, and now, as I am with Him.

What a shame it is that we not only lean on our own understanding, but we also take pride in it. And we are so blind to see that success equals favor in finances. Erma Bombeck said it this way, "Don't confuse fame with success. Madonna is one; Helen Keller is the other." Yes, success is merely reaching a goal. "Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome." Booker T. Washington

Do you have success in your life? Do you have God in your life? If you do, you will.

The Greatest Opportunity: A Message About Love

Monday, February 27, 2012
By Joyce Meyer, from Greater Things Compassion Conference – February 2012

If I could only ever preach one message, it would be on love, compassion—helping people. It means so much to me, and it’s also been the most life-changing to me personally.

Love has taught me who God is. In 1 John 4:7-8, the Bible says that the more we know how to love, the m...

Words of Wisdom with Joyce Meyers

  1. Knowing who you are in Christ leads you to peace, and peace always produces joy in your life.
  2. We don't need a wishbone—we need a backbone.
  3. You can think what you want to think; you don't have to think whatever just falls into your head.
  4. Truth is the only thing that defeats deception.
  5. We must meditate on what God has done in our life instead of what we are still waiting on Him to do.

Just Can’t Help It!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“We cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard”
(Acts 4:20, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD

          from Joel and Victoria

Have you ever been so in awe by something that you just couldn’t help but talk about it to everyone you know? Maybe you were excited about a new relationship, a job or the birth of a child. But, nothing on earth can compare to what God wants to do in your life. He wants to amaze you with His goodness and overwhelm you with His love. He wants to do exceedingly, abundantly above all you could ever ask, think or imagine. He wants to do things in your life that you’ve never seen before. He wants to impact you in such a way that you can’t help but talk about Him!
The key starts with us. Our faith in God is what opens the door for Him to move and sets the blessing in motion. God has given every person a measure of faith. He has given us all the ability to believe and receive from Him. Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. As you meditate on His Word and receive His promises by faith, He will move mightily on your behalf. It won’t be long before you just can’t help speaking about His goodness everywhere you go!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I choose to receive Your promises by faith. I choose to meditate on Your love. Thank You for working in my life. I keep my heart and mind open You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lakewood Church, a True Blessing

Joel is truly a great blessing to me. He teaches so that even a non-believer can receive.

Isaiah 35:3&4 King James Version

God is saying to us that we need to allow the Spirit to come in and change us; to allow Him to take control and give us the fruit of God bestowed upon each of us when we allow it to be so.

What I need to do now!

This is a list of Bible verses that I need to take to heart, to write them on my heart, so I can become who He wants me to be.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way. (Good News Translation of Proverbs 3:5-6)

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8) Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9) And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10) That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death. (Phil 3: 7-10)

You are not powerful enough to stop God's plan! "For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?" (Isaiah 14:27 ESV). He is God, and He's in COMPLETE control!

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)

My Spiritual Recovery Back to Jesus; My Experience

I am here, an actual living being. But not just living, I am a god. Whatever I will, will come forth. And yet, I also have a creator who made me. He also has a will, and whatever He wills, will be manifest.

I have known my creator for all of my life. And I have allowed His will to override mine at times. But for the most part, it was my decisions that were allowed. And when I allow His control in my life, even that is a decision of mine, that I felt was the best for my circumstances.

My parents took the time to make sure that I would reverence God, and to believe that He sent His Son into our world to redeem us, which would in turn, allow us to enter into His presence, one of total truthfulness and obedience. And there is nothing of greater importance than total truthfulness and obedience. Without these, we become unknown even to ourselves.
